Too tough for folk and too blues-influenced for country, Lynne Hanson’s brand of porch music with a little red dirt can turn on a dime from a sunshine, blue sky ballad to a full on thunderstorm of gritty Americana swamp from one song to the next. Her hard living music has garnered her the nickname “Canada’s own Queen of Americana.” And while her deep, bluesy croon has drawn comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch, it’s the poetry of her lyrics that really sets her apart.
"A contemporary blend of both mainstream hip & retro musicality … Her voice potentiates popular music with modern sensitivity that’s effective & assertive … Lynne Hanson is that good an artist.” - Americana Highways
A two-time Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Hanson is known for her high energy, roots guitar driven live performances. She has an uncanny way of connecting with her audience with an authenticity that is as entertaining as it is disarming.
“On stage Hanson has a wonderful charm and disarming sense of humour … a spontaneity and honesty that enchants.” - Americana UK
Hanson has released ten studio albums along with two books of poetry over her 20 year solo career. Along the way she’s won two Canadian Folk Music Awards, as well as the Colleen Peterson songwriting award. She’s toured extensively across North America, Europe and the UK, and appeared at leading international festivals including Take Root (Netherlands), Glasgow Americana (Scotland), Maverick Festival (UK), Kerrville Folk Festival (US), and Winnipeg Folk Festival (Canada). She has also toured as support for Grammy-nominated artists like Gretchen Peters, Steve Forbert and Albert Lee.
Lynne Hanson released her tenth album Just A Poet in May 2024. “Just A Poet” was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year.
A new album is scheduled for 2027

Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut studio album, Lost En Route, Sorrel has toured extensively across the UK performing at festivals including Black Deer, Wickham, Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk Festival alongside multiple national headline tours. Her performances range from delicate acoustic intimacy to soaring full-band arrangements as showcased on her ‘rootsy’ second studio album, Creeping Thyme, released October 23rd 2026.
And yes, Sorrel Nation is her real name…
“there are few singer-songwriters currently gracing the UK music scene creating as much of a buzz” - Graeme Tait, Americana UK
"there was a gorgeous, vibrant depth to the overall sound" - Nick Barber, Americana-UK
"stylish band panache adding folk rock aura to sultry layered songs" - David Hughes, Three Chords and the Truth

SATURDAY 01 MAY 2027 | DOMINO LEWIS
Domino Lewis is a singer-songwriter hailing from Paris. Born in France but raised on Joni Mitchell and Johnny Cash, she soon discovered that folk and country were her thing - a thing that could take her places. Starting out in the local Chicago scene in 2016, she began playing in earnest in Paris, alone and with her band. Since, she has played across Europe (France, Germany, the UK, Switzerland) and the US (Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C), and opened for artists like Hayden Pedigo, Niamh Regan, Esther Rose, Amelia Coburn and Kelsey Waldon, showcasing her songwriting and strong sense of storytelling. Her catalogue takes inspiration from John Prine, Kate Wolf, as well as more recent acts such as Dori Freeman and the Secret Sisters. A believer at heart in the three-chords-and-the-truth motto, Domino revels both in the funny and the tragic in equal and copious amounts. Her single "Do It All" did the rounds on WesternAF and her debut EP, "Live at Kerwax", was a celebration of pedal steel, murder ballads and broken-hearted vistas. She hopes to make you laugh and cry and enjoy the whole lot. She is currently working on her debut album.
If you were at RAMBLIN ROOTS Festival in 2026 you'll know how well Domino Lewis was received by the audience.
